WRITING A REVIEW

First off, make sure you write a little something about the experience of being in the theater: what kind of people were in the audience? Had you heard any hype about the production beforehand?

Next there needs to be a SYNOPSIS of the play, whereby the story is told in a condensed paragraph, including the names of the actors in key roles.

Now you need to describe, objectively, the set, costumes, music, lights, and any other design elements that get your attention. Please include SEVERAL examples/details.

This section is for critiquing the acting: was it believable? accents? etc.

Now all you have to do is summarize by recommending or advising your readers to avoid the play. Feel free to use any system of approval (ie. thumbs up/thumbs down, 4 out of 5 stars, etc.)
